Data Protection Policy

Visitors to this website are not normally required to reveal personal information and no personal information (such as your name, address or email address) will be collected unless you voluntarily supply this information. We would point out that there are security risks inherent in the transmission of data via the internet (e.g. email communication) because it is not possible to protect data completely against unauthorised access by third parties.

We expressly object to third parties making use of contact details disclosed as part of our legal obligation for the purposes of sending unsolicited advertisements. The operator of this website reserves the right to take appropriate legal action against anyone sending unsolicited advertising information, e.g. spam emails

Privacy policy for our newsletter

We use MailChimp, a service provided by The Rocket Science Group, LLC, to manage our newsletter mailing list and send out our newsletters. Under the Safe Harbor agreement between the United States and the European Union, the provider has undertaken to ensure a level of data protection that complies with EU regulations. For details, see the entry by The Rocket Science Group, LLC on the Department of Commerce’s Safe Harbor List. In addition, TRUSTe regularly reviews and certifies compliance with legal requirements to protect personal information.

By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to allow us to transmit your personal details to the United States where they will be stored and processed on the servers of The Rocket Science Group, LLC. You can also voluntarily provide your first and last name. If you want to do this, MailChimp will also store your first and last name. In addition to your email address, MailChimp also stores the IP address in order to be able to defend itself against any potential accusations of distributing unsolicited emails.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time. Your data will also be deleted on the MailChimp servers. For further details, please read the MailChimp data protection policy.

Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google’s behalf. Google will not associate your IP address with any other data held by Google. Privacy policy for Facebook plugins (Like button)

Our website uses social plugins provided by the social network Facebook (Facebook Inc., 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA). The plugins are identifiable by the Facebook logo or the “Like” button on our site.

When you visit one of our pages the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Thus, Facebook receives the information that you (your IP address) visited our website. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged in to your Facebook account you can link content from our pages to your Facebook profile. This enables Facebook to associate your visit to our pages with your user account. For further information please see Facebook’s privacy policy at http://facebook.com/policy.php.

If you do not want Facebook to associate the data concerning your visit to our website with your member data, please log off Facebook before entering our website.
